Harlem
Notarization,
Done Right, Same Day.
Notarization exists to prevent fraud: a commissioned notary confirms your identity, watches you sign, and certifies that the signature is genuine. Many legal, financial, and real estate documents aren't valid or acceptable without it.
MEJPBS offers walk-in notary service at our East Harlem office — and because we're a translation and interpreting company first, we can walk you through the document in your own language before you sign, in 170+ languages.

Works at MEJPBS
Bring Your Document & ID
Bring your unsigned document and a valid government-issued photo ID. Don't sign beforehand — most notarizations require you to sign in front of the notary.
Sign in Front of the Notary
Your identity is verified, and you sign the document while the notary witnesses it. Available in your language if needed.
Notarized on the Spot
The notary applies their seal and signature, completing the notarization. If you also need an Apostille, we can begin that process right away.

Notary Public FAQ
A notary public is a state-commissioned official who witnesses the signing of documents, verifies the signer's identity, and certifies that the signature is genuine. Notarization deters fraud and is often required for legal, financial, and real estate documents.
MEJPBS notarizes acknowledgments, jurats and sworn affidavits, powers of attorney, real estate closing documents, business and corporate documents, and consent or authorization letters, among others.
Bring a valid, current government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID) and your unsigned document — most documents must be signed in front of the notary, not beforehand. If your document requires witnesses, bring them along too.
Yes. As a translation and interpreting company offering 170+ languages, MEJPBS can assist you through the notarization process in your own language.
Walk-ins are welcome at our East Harlem office. Calling ahead is recommended for larger signings, such as real estate closings, so we can confirm availability.
Not by itself. Notarization verifies a signature — it is not the same as an Apostille, which is a separate authentication required for documents used internationally. Many documents need to be notarized first and then Apostilled. MEJPBS handles both in one place.
